Meet the team
Southwest pre & post-natal education is run by Georgina, a qualified Social Worker, PTLLS trainer, and a FEDANT Acredited Antenatal & Postnatal Educator and Hypnobirthing Instructor.
Georgina studied with the Peri-natal Academy in 2024 and proudly qualified in 2025. Alongside her professional achievements, she is also a devoted Mum to three wonderful boys, each of whom has blessed her with three very different birth experiences.
These experiences have given Georgina a true understanding of how birth can have a significant impact on those precious first few weeks and years postpartum, and she recognises just how crucial it is for a birthing person to feel heard, supported, and informed during the birthing process. Georgina’s overarching goal is to empower and support parents, enabling them to feel truly CONFIDENT in making their own informed decisions regarding their birth.
Georgina understands how isolating and lonely becoming a parent can be, and she is very passionate about creating a space for parents to connect together, creating a community of support. Georgina is also very passionate about bringing more awareness to postnatal mental health.
Our Ethos
At Southwest Pre and Post-Natal Education, our ethos centres on providing evidence-based information that empowers parents-to-be to make informed decisions about their birthing experience. We teach you how to effectively use your mind, voice, and body together to confidently manage and navigate through labour.
Our approach combines knowledge with compassion, recognising the emotional and physical aspects of pregnancy and childbirth.
We aim to create a supportive environment where parents -to-be can express their fears, ask questions, and explore various birthing options without judgement. By encouraging open discussions and providing a variety of perspectives, we promote a deeper understanding of the birth process.
We are committed to respecting the diverse needs and preferences of expectant families, catering our content to embrace cultural differences, individual circumstances, and personal choices. Our classes cover not only the mechanics of childbirth but also the importance of mental well-being, the role of partners, and the significance of post-natal care, recognising that preparation for birth is as much about emotional readiness as it is about physical preparation.
Education doesn’t stop at birth; we also emphasise the importance of post-natal support. Our holistic approach ensures that families feel equipped for the early days of parenthood, fostering a nurturing environment for both parents and their new arrivals. Ultimately, our ethos is about building a community of informed, confident parents ready to embrace the joys and challenges of childbirth and beyond.
